Every so often, either time or the lack of budget will require the use of templates and or components, not everyone can afford custom Actionscript, and I certainly wouldn't be the guy to write it anyway.
I recently started on a project (release date TBD) that fit the bill and set out looking for some Actionscripted liquid goodness, and I just happened to find some worthy of sharing. I'm a huge fan of the sites that allow designers and developers to share their respective wares, but had not used FlashComponents.net before.

The purchase, a whopping four bucks, didn't exactly go smoothly as they had some issues with their account verification process on their new site, but customer service rectified the problem quickly. I got my little gem and I have to give the developer/designer/insert job title here – FlashBox all the kudos, and I'm uber impressed.
The file is quite simple and though it came with no instructions, and I would recommend he/she learn to label his layers, I was able to tweak it for my needs in a few minutes. I figure if I can modify it, any sound web developer could do all kinds of things with it.
In all actuality, it's not a "real" component, it's just an FLA, but it's super sweet, tiny, swf export offers a nice touch for user experience. I can play with it for at least a minute or two before I start looking for a new toy.
