I’m not a big fan of career oriented books, but the other day I had the opportunity to work with an outstanding creative director, who just happened author one one. I enjoyed working with Sally Hogshead enough to purchase her first book entitled “Radical Careering: 100 Truths to jumpstart your job, your career, and your life.” More than anything I was hoping that she found a way to channel her razor sharp wit into the book, Suffice it to say she certainly did.

I enjoyed working with Sally Hogshead enough to purchase her first book entitled “Radical Careering: 100 Truths to jumpstart your job, your career, and your life.” More than anything I was hoping that she found a way to channel her razor sharp wit into the book, Suffice it to say she certainly did.
Radical Careering isn’t you typical book, and after spending the last five years in advertising, I can say with complete certainty that Sally has not lost her ability to get the message across in thirty seconds. But thats what makes this book so easy to read, each of the 100 truths occupies no more than a very small two page spread. Sally’s prose paired with a wonderful design aesthetic from the good people at Number 17, NYC, and a mountain of research factoids makes for a book that I devoured in no more than 2 hours. I anticipate picking it up here and there just to recharge some of my mojo.
