Art&Copy is the creative world’s celebration of some of it’s most gifted professionals, their work, and a brief historical perspective from a few of the brilliant individuals that shaped modern advertising.

Art&Copy is the creative world’s celebration of some of it’s most gifted professionals, their work, and a brief historical perspective from a few of the brilliant individuals that shaped modern advertising. However, it’s not a hard nosed probing documentary that explores the less photogenic side of the advertising industry, or agency life for that matter. It’s not a choose your own adventure, or even a formulate your won opinion. It’s shiny, slick and well retouched and shows the side that the advertising industry wants to show. And in doing so, reflects the industry it claims to document, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a blast to watch.
Some of my favorite moments in no particular order include:
Lee Clow affirming “We should be in charge”.
George Lois’s riff on how he can get excited over a pen.
Hal Riney discussing the fear surrounding when and wear your next great idea will come from.

Art&Copy is an aphrodisiac for creatives, which isn’t a bad thing. We all want to hit a grand slam in the bottom of the ninth for our clients, and our reels.
Know a creative who doesn’t? Recommend a career change, maybe solo synchronized swimming would be a better fit.
